It’s good to laugh –

It’s good to laugh

Obviously you may say! But we are not talking about a good laugh with friends. Or at the office.
No no no, we are talking about professional jokes, we are talking about “Hey, tonight I want to laugh (for sure)” or even better “Hey, I want to laugh (for sure) every Tuesday night”. That’s what we are talking about. So please, Ladies and Gentlemen, note that every Tuesday evening you can LOL (laugh out loud) in Singapore. It’s called Comedy Masala and let us tell you that we are BIG fans.
Comedy Masala is the first stand up comedy platform in Singapore. Founded in 2010, Comedy Masala aims to give anyone a chance to learn and perform stand up comedy to a live audience. Concretely, for you, it means going to a bar (Hero’s in this case), enjoying happy hour drinks, watch the best up & coming comedians from across Asia relay each other on stage and laugh (did we mention that already?). Easy, isn’t it?

We already had the chance to discover Orion Perez from the Philippines (LOL), Jason Leong from Malaysia (uber LOL, apparently doctor in a former life and, more importantly, winner of the Annual International Comedy Competition held in Hong Kong last year) and Liam McDonald from Canada (a country that recently joined the APAC region apparently) who earned the privilege to be part of the 2015 International Comedy Festival’s line-up against 3 talented competitors. Singapore has also its ambassadors. Big up to Rishi Budhrani who offered us an amazing second part the last time we went.

The most organized of you may book a table online one week in advance (min. 4 pax). The most reckless may ask for the front row (don’t say we didn’t warn you). The others may stay standing but the pleasure is the same.

Not sure about the line-up? You’ll see Umar Rana (founder and resident MC) on stage anyway, and it’s worth the trip all by itself.

Still not convinced? What if we tell you that you could be the winner of a bottle of sparkling wine during the show?
